KENYAN Plus+254 WOMEN AND SOAP OPERA.

Why most Kenyan women love "Soaps"....
Before you read any further like my Facebook page that is Plus254getit,liveit and share the Kenyan love.

A soap opera, sometimes called "soap" for short, stems from the original dramatic serials broadcast on radio that had soap manufacturers as sponsors and producers. These early radio series were broadcast in weekday daytime slots when most listeners would be housewives; thus the shows were aimed at and consumed by a predominantly female audience.

From Days of our lives, No one but you, The Bold and the Beautiful, to Endless Love, Soy Tu Duena, Latormenta,Maria Clara, Don't mess with an angel, Teresa and Woman of steel, just but to name a few, this "soaps" broadcasting on our Tv stations are driving Kenyan women crazy, but why do most Kenyan women love this programs to an extent that they end up cooking at 5pm or at 10pm, a duration when either News, or something out their raider is on, your bigboy Festus went out and did his PHD research, here are some reasons :

1.) Women are "Nosy" - They are intrested in other peoples personal lives or relationship, they prey on others lives, a good example is, if a lady misses an episode and gets to her workplace she will "HUNT" for information, on what relationship went sore, who got dumped, how's the evil woman etc.

2.) Women love relationship and life Drama- The cheats, the fights, the tears, the suspense etc, it makes them wish it was them in the drama, because you see drama makes life interesting.

3.) Women love Romance- The soft kisses, caresses, hugs, the caring and understanding heart etc, and if they can't get them in their love lives, they end up watching soap operas with the mind of gaining skill and knowing what is romantic or not. This is how i want my husband to treat me.

4.) "Soaps" engages Women emotions- They make them cry, laugh, feel jealous, hate, scream etc, i once watched this lady cry all because she saw how this man was mistreating a lady in a soap opera, they hate the evil woman as if she was her rival.

5.) Most women are Desperate- Watching "soaps" for most women is the desperate measure they take at desperate times, thinking that they fall for "Osemigel" in the street corridors, or expect to be treated as they see in the program.

6.) Finally women just watch "soaps" to be women- To get something to gossip about, or talk about when they sit in the salons, at work, at sleep overs etc, they want to be in the system of Feminism, the well informed woman, the storyteller.

I won't judge the Kenyan women based on soap operas, atleast it makes them Women as Football makes us Men.
